Ten years ago, when software engineer Frank Huguenard lost his Silicon Valley job at the same time that his best friend and lover was dying of cancer, he struggled to make sense of the drastic changes that were taking place in his life. His consequent studies of Eastern philosophy and Western scientific research led him to produce some very compelling videos which won acclaim on the Film Festival: Spirit Enlightened website.

Beyond Me, which won the Spirit Enlightened People’s Choice Award, takes the viewer on a trip through the cosmos and down to the scale of quantum physics, explores the instinctive migration patterns of animals, and draws a link between animal instincts and human personality disorders. It then goes on to suggest that all of human suffering and misery comes as a result of impressions made on our consciousness over hundreds and even thousands of lifetimes, and that the solution for removing these impressions, thereby lessening our suffering, is through the art of meditation.

Beyond Belief, which was Spirit Enlightened Second Runner Up, explored the story of Jesus' life, which has always been mysterious and completely out of context with all the other great masters on this planet. Beyond Belief tackles these very sensitive issues by placing Jesus in India both prior to and AFTER the crucifixion. In spite of the vast amounts of documentation that was destroyed, there remains a significant amount of evidence to support this, particularly the compelling proof in the Gospel of Thomas. This film attempts to demystify the life of Jesus and put his teachings in a much larger framework.

Frank Huguenard received his BS degree in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1982 and promptly went to work in Silicon Valley as a software engineer.  Ten years ago his life took a sharp turn when his employment was abruptly terminated and his best friend and lover died of breast cancer. As a result he set out on a journey to understand the nature of the human condition and why so many people on this planet are suffering. In his search for understanding Frank found his sweet spot in walking the line between science and spirit.  His short films, Beyond Me and Beyond Belief, have won acclaim and were top choices in the Spirit Enlightened Film Festival. Frank is also founder and Executive Director of a non-profit humanitarian relief organization, The Bountiful Garden Foundation.

Drumming – an Ancient Technology for Healing and Ascension with Cedric and Hedda Leonardi

Drums have been used for thousands of years in rituals, celebrations, and ceremonies.  However, the merging of science with the healing qualities of drumming is a relatively new development.

Today, drums are being used to assist veterans to release the emotional pain of post-traumatic stress disorder, releasing the pent up anger and negative emotions of “at risk” adolescents, and promoting health in corporate executives through releasing their day-to-day stress.

In the medical field, the hand drum is being used to help Alzheimer’s patients improve their short term memory and increase social interaction, and to help autistic children increase their attention spans.

In addition to relaxing the tense, energize the tired, and heal the emotionally wounded, drums can induce light trance states and euphoria, promote play, release anger and promote feelings of community and unity.  Together, husband and wife team, Cedric and Hedda Leonardi are exploring the applications and benefits of drumming to improve the emotional, physical, and psychological health of people of all ages, as well as accelerate the ascension process of those on a spiritual path.

CEDRIC LEONARDI

Cedric Leonardi was born to be a musician.  For as long as he can remember he was captivated by music and felt rhythm in everything he heard as he roamed his coastal home town of Montpellier in France. Growing up in the coastal town of Montpellier in France, he was captivated by music and felt rhythm in everything. At the age of 12 he fell in love with the drums and bcame entranced by the flamboyance, rhythm and passion of the nearby Gypsy barrio “la cite gely.”

Stepping out on a Bohemian path, Cedric has spent the last 25 years traveling, studying and touring for the love of his art. Touring the world with the internationally renowned Gypsy Kings and other artists, Cedric’s passion for drumming has seem him explore everything from Irish folk to the vibrant Latin music of  Brazil and Cuba, through the Carribean and Spain, Flamenco, European pop, Sufi rhythms, Rock and Jazz.

Cedric is Artist-in-Residence at the world famous Agape International Spiritual Center founded by Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith (The Secret) in Los Angeles, and has recently joined the Chaka Khan Foundation to teach drumming to inner-city children in Los Angeles.

HEDDA LEONARDI

Australian born, Hedda Leonardi is an award-winning journalist and former magazine and newspaper editor and promotions manager with over 25 years experience in global media and marketing, working for an extremely diverse group of industries.

Since 1990 Hedda has owned and operated her own companies, traveling the globe creating strategic media campaigns on behalf of her clients. She has partnered with some of the world’s most recognized names to add value to their Brands.

A gourmet whole foods chef, Hedda has studied Iyengar yoga and Nei Kung martial arts style and is now training to be a Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
