The Sandie Sedgbeer Show: Conversation at the Cutting Edge
when Sandie's guest will be Allan G. Hunter

Synchronicity – those moments when exactly the right thing seems to happen precisely of its own accord – has been a puzzling phenomenon for many people. Coincidence; dumb luck; blind chance – all are phrases to explain it away so we don’t have to think about it. Yet what if there actually is a pattern here? If so, then it indicates that we may be living within a system that is far bigger than we are prepared to admit. In which case the question is not ‘what should I do?’ but rather, ‘what is it the energy of the universe needs me to do for the good of us all?’
In this show, Allan Hunter will explain why the messages put forward in The Secret were only part of the process, and reveal how we can learn to look at the world in a new way, where it’s not about what we can get, do, or achieve, but rather about what we are here to contribute When we think this way we liberate our creativity and our real personal power in ways we could not have imagined before.
Allan Hunter was born and educated in England, living in Surrey and Oxfordshirebefore moving to Boston and becoming a naturalized American citizen. Growing up he lived in Belgium, Italy (Sardinia), and Madagascar as well as England.
He received his doctorate at Oxford University in literature with a
focus on Joseph Conrad. After graduating he traveled to India, South Africa, Peru, Tunisia and all through Europe. He spent four years teaching literature at Farleigh-Dickinson University in Wroxton, England. After this he worked with disturbed adolescents at the Peper Harow Foundation, in England. He moved to Boston in 1986 and began teaching at Curry College where he is a full professor. He has also taught prisoners in Massachusetts Prison system and has a counseling practice.

He is the author of ten books, including two about the therapeutic uses of writing (The Sanity Manual and Life Passages) and two that use the theory of the six archetypes for deep understanding of the self (Stories We Need to Know and The Six Archetypes of Love). He has also written Write Your Memoir; the Soul Work of Telling Your Story. His ninth book, Princes, Frogs, and Ugly Sisters: the Healing Power of the Grimm Brothers¹ Tales appeared in 2010.
The Path of Synchronicity, which was published in June 2011, is his latest work. It examines the roles of fate and destiny in our lives, using literature as a guiding source, and it leads us to ask not what it is we want, but what the universe needs from us.

Welcome to my world! I am so glad you stopped by and felt comfortable enough to join the conversation. I hope you will come back often - the weather is always sunny here (mostly), and the views are... well, whatever your reality makes of them.
