Have you ever wondered whether YOU could share an open, loving relationship with more than one person?  Do you believe that in order to be true, love must come with conditions, rules, and restrictions that keep a couple joined exclusively to each other till death do they part?

As the Shift continues to fulfill its role of moving us towards a higher consciousness, what changes will it make in our attitudes towards and beliefs about love, marriage, relationships, and fidelity?   Back in the 1960’s the concept of ‘free love’ infused a generation of young (and not so young) adults with the notion that ‘sex before the ceremony’ and monogamy were passé, and that ‘free love’ was here to stay.

For many, it didn’t quite work out that way.   Is that because the cultural and religious conditioning processes that have long prevailed in most Western societies is too deeply embedded in our consciousness to be so easily let go? Or is it because the frailties of the human condition, like ego, jealousy, and personal insecurity get in the way?

These are fascinating and interesting questions that, by their very nature, trigger some very strong feelings, and thus rarely get debated in a calm, and rational manner.  But if it’s true that we are all heading for the 5^th dimension, then isn’t it time to put aside both our taboos and ingrained notions of romantic relationships, and consider what love, sex, and relating might look like from a higher perspective – particularly to a society that is already beginning to accept that there is no such as thing as separation between any organism in this universe?

Leonie Linssen is a relationship coach in the Netherlands, who specializes in clients with multi-relationship situations. Her own transformation from being raised monogamously with strict rules to living a poly-amorous relationship was so powerful and difficult that she decided to share her experiences and be of service to others grappling with the same issues. She started studying again and opened her coaching practice in 2005 and has counseled hundreds of people since then. She is a pioneer in poly-coaching in the Netherlands and has made many media appearances.

Stephan Wik is a Taoist practitioner and the co-director of Greenstones in Sweden. He is the author of Beyond Tantra.

In their book LOVE UNLIMITED, relationship coach and counselor Leonie Linssen and author Stephan Wik chart the course of 12 different partnerships as men and women navigate monogamy, polyamory, triads, bisexuality, homosexuality, open marriages, and sexual explorations.  In each case, Linssen, working as a relationship coach, challenges singles, couples or multiples to honestly identify their expectations, fears, jealousies and passions in order to find a loving dynamic that works for everyone involved.
