Unearthing Venus: A Liberated Woman’s Search for the Woman Within with Cate Montana
Cate Montana
Cate Montana was a liberated woman. Beginning a career in broadcasting after college in 1973, within four years she broke into the elite male bastion of sports television as a freelance editor for NBC, ABC and CBS. By 1981 she was living the ultimate vision of the second-wave feminist: fabulous career, gorgeous condo, an attentive lover and all the freedom in the world. But what she didn’t know, and was soon to find out, was that being a successful woman didn’t necessarily mean being a success as a woman.

A long dark night of the soul followed the break-up of her second marriage. Then a chance encounter with a shaman changed everything. Challenged to plumb the depths of her own feminine nature, Cate began a quest that would take her from her comfortable home in rural Washington into the heart of the Amazon jungle, where she had an astonishing encounter with Ayahuasca, up staggering peaks in the Andes, and halfway across the globe to the consecration of a temple to the Great Goddess in southern India. Opening heart and mind, she surrendered to mysteries long unexplored and forgotten.  Her latest book, Unearthing Venus: Search for the Woman Within is a stunning memoir that explores the uncharted territories of the feminine soul and travel from a conventional life to one of authenticity, deeper meaning and reconnection with the divine feminine and masculine aspects of our souls.

Topics include:

*How we can find the balance between the masculine and feminine aspects of self
*The ‘P’ Values and “V” values that drive most of our life decisions, and how we can
*What Cate learned about during her journeys with Ayahuasca
*Why the future of humanity rests in healing the male-female divide
And more…

Cate Montana is a freelance writer and editor specializing in the re-awakening of feminine consciousness, metaphysics, physics, and the meeting ground between science and mysticism.   She is the co-author of The Heart Of The Matter (Hay House) with Dr. Darren Weissman and of GhettoPhysics: Redefining the Game with What The Bleep Do We Know? creator, Will Arntz, the author of 3 screenplays, and hundreds of articles for the mainstream media.

While working with Bleep filmmakers, Betsy Chasse, Mark Vicente and Will Arntz learning the ropes of the film industry, a lifelong love of movies kicked into gear along with a passion for writing fiction. The result has been three screenplays: The Return, an action/thriller about a politically staged Second Coming of Christ; a film adaptation of the book A Gathering of Selves, the spiritual adventures of Alvin Schwartz, real-life creator of Superman and Batman for Detective Comics; and Killing Buddha, a mainstream comedy about a clueless material Hollywood producer trying to find God and meaning in the New Age, currently in pre-production with filmmaker Betsy Chasse.
She is currently working on her second title, Love Beyond the Pale. She resides in the Pacific Northwest.

Welcome to my world! I am so glad you stopped by and felt comfortable enough to join the conversation. I hope you will come back often - the weather is always sunny here (mostly), and the views are... well, whatever your reality makes of them.
